Fund Selector Asia is delighted to return to Bangkok to host our flagship “Investment Forum Thailand”, on Thursday, 29 February at the St. Regis Bangkok.

Speakers
Rupert Walker, regional editor, Asia, Fund Selector Asia
Rupert Walker is an award-winning financial journalist and editor based in Asia since 2007, and he has a background as a fund manager and investment banker.
He is regional editor of Fund Selector Asia in Hong Kong, where he has worked since 2019. He has previously worked for or contributed to a range of publications including as editor of Citywire Asia in Singapore, FinanceAsia, AsianIvestor, EIU, Forbes, The Trade, Global Trading and Hong Kong Tatler.
In an earlier career, Rupert worked in debt capital markets for SG Warburg and Goldman Sachs where he was an executive director, and set up a capital markets sales desk for NatWest Capital Markets in Singapore. He also spent four years as a bond fund manager for Govett Investment.
Surakiat Kahaboonsirihansa, head of wealth research, Bangkok Bank
Dr. Surakiat works as the head of wealth research in the wealth management department at Bangkok Bank. He specialises in economic and investment analysis for both domestic and global markets.
Before joining Bangkok Bank, he had more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector including as a fund manager at TISCO Asset Management and as an investment analyst at KasikornBank. Surakiat finished his Ph.D. from the School of Development on stock market bubbles and the role of monetary policy in Thailand. He joined the CFA society in 2006. He is also a part-time lecturer in behavourial finance and financial management.
Win Phromphaet, executive vice president, high net-worth division, Bank of Ayudhya
Win has over 20 years of professional experience in Investment Management. He is currently EVP – Head of High Net-Worth Division, Bank of Ayudhya PCL. His division is responsible for developing HNW segment strategies, building relationship and providing customized services for over 100,000 HNW clients, as well as collaborating among Krungsri Group to enhance investment advice and recommend asset allocation for clients.
Oliver Wiedemeijer, managing director, product specialist, Brookfield Oaktree Wealth Solutions
Oliver Wiedemeijer is a Managing Director at Brookfield Oaktree Wealth Solutions. In this role, he is responsible for product development and client relationship management in EMEA and APAC.
Prior, Mr. Wiedemeijer spent over 18 years at Credit Suisse, most recently serving as global head of due diligence and product
strategy across private and alternative markets.
Tim Gibson, co-head of global property equities, Janus Henderson Investors
Tim Gibson is co-head of global property equities and portfolio manager at Janus Henderson Investors, a position he has held since 2014. e has been with Henderson, based in Singapore since 2011. Hew has previous property fund management and analytics experience at AMP Capital Brookfield and Morgan Stanley, where he provided investment recommendations on property companies in the UK and Europe.
Swagato Ghosh, portfolio manager, Matthews India Fund, Matthews Asia
Swagato Ghosh is a Portfolio Manager at Matthews and co-manages the firm’s India Strategy. Prior to joining the firm in 2022, he was an investment analyst at Franklin Templeton India, where he was the lead cement, real estate and consumer discretionary analyst. From 2016 to 2018, he was an investment analyst at Goldman Sachs Asset management researching U.S. health care sector. From 2013 to 2015, Swagato was an equity research analyst at Jefferies India. He received his B.Tech in Mining Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and his MBA from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. Swagato is fluent in Hindi and Bengali.
