In his role, Au will be responsible for shaping the firm’s Hong Kong operations into a gateway, allowing for cross-border activities with China.
Au joins Eastspring from Bank of China (Hong Kong) Asset Management, where he was CEO for the past five years. Previously, he held various senior management positions at HSBC Global Asset Management in Hong Kong, GMO Hong Kong and Baring Quantitative Management.
Au brings to Eastspring 30 years of sector experience and asset owner relationships. He is a member of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission Advisory Committee and the Financial Services Development Council.
Formerly, he was chairman of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute as well as chairman of the Investment Funds Association.
