Deutsche Bank International Private Bank (IPB) has appointed Arjun Badhwar as the deputy head of its global south Asia team.
Badhwar, who is based in Singapore, will take on his role immediately and report to Rajesh Mahadevan, the head of global south Asia, Deutsche Bank said in response to queries from FSA.
Badhwar’s appointment comes as Deutsche Bank looks to double private banking revenue from Asia in the next five years by ramping up efforts to attract the region’s ultra-wealthy.
In line with this, the lender has been strengthening its leadership team with several appointments across southeast Asia, south Asia and north Asia.
For instance, it named Jin Yee Young as the head of IPB for Asia Pacific and Johanes Oeni as managing director and head of IPB in southeast Asia in the last seven months.
