Citi hires head of markets in Thailand

Nattaphan Assavavisessivakul joins the US bank in Bangkok from BNP Paribas.

Citi has announced that Nattaphan Assavavisessivakul will be joining Citi as head of markets, Thailand in August, subject to standard regulatory approvals. He will be based in Bangkok.

 Assavavisessivakul will drive business growth and lead the markets franchise in Thailand with a strategic approach leveraging Citi’s global footprint and offering. He will report to Sue Lee, Citi’s head of markets, Asia South, and to Fourth Narumon, Citi country officer and banking head, Citi Thailand.

With over 23 years of experience in banking and financial services, Assavavisessivakul joins from BNP Paribas, Thailand, where he led and managed the trading sales, treasury teams as head of global markets and ALM Treasury.

He was also previously head of fixed income, commodities and currencies sales, at Bank of America, Thailand. Assavavisessivakul started his career at KPMG Thailand specialising in business restructuring and financial modelling and reporting.

Narumon said, “Thailand is a key market for Citi with increased global client flows into the country and increasing overseas investments by local asset managers.
