Mutual Fund Top Trumps – Infrastructure

This week FSA presents a quick comparison of two Infrastructure equity products: BNY Mellon and Morgan Stanley.

The pair have jointly acquired an Indonesian asset management firm.

Masato Sunaga was most recently with Morgan Stanley Investment Management.

The acquisition follows on the heels of a successful partnership between the two firms in the Japanese small cap space.

A key contributor to this year’s figure was the S$710.87m in net subscriptions received under fixed income.

Gary Chan joins from Mirae Asset (Hong Kong).

Anthonia Hui and Leonardo Drago, co-founders of ALWP, will head up the Singaporean business.

Marc Kermaidic succeeds Long Doan, who will take up a new role within BNP Paribas.

The plans will see the wealth management scheme broadened out to include equities and an increase in the quota.

The launch comes 10 months after the initial announcement.
