HEAD-TO-HEAD: Blackrock versus Capital Group

FSA compares two multi asset products: the Blackrock ESG Multi Asset Fund and the Capital Group Global Allocation Fund.

The portfolio includes funds managed by Aberdeen Standard Investments, Blackrock, Fidelity, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Pimco and Schroders.

The programme was initially expected to launch in 2015 but was delayed as authorities wanted to clamp down capital outflows.

The offerings include two products explicitly focused on sustainable investment.

The platform is aimed at so-called digital natives and offers a range of mutual funds provided by key partners.

Schroders also has plans of establishing a stand-alone public mutual fund company in the mainland.

Around 300,000 people are expected to use the immigration route in its first five years.
