CapitaLand hires ex Blackstone executive to lead alternatives, private funds

CapitaLand Investment has hired Kishore Moorjani as chief executive of alternatives, private funds.

Singaporean real estate investment firm CapitalLand Investment has hired Kishore Moorjani as CEO, alternatives, private funds, according to a statement from the firm.

He will join the firm in later 2025, and will be tasked with spearheading and expanding CapitalLand Investment’s private credit and special opportunities businesses.

Moorjani (main picture) was previously a senior managing director at Blackstone between 2012 to 2021. He led the Asia operations for Blackstone’s tactical opportunities group and drove investments across Asia Pacific.

During the firm’s latest financial results, Lee Chee Koon, group CEO of CLI said the firm is “bringing on board top private funds talent to grow our alternatives business, even as we continue to pursue strategic acquisitions which can be important levers for significant asset-light growth”.
