Kat Ferris, Capital Group
Capital Group has appointed Kat Ferris to the newly created role of head of product development for Asia and Europe. Based in London, she reports to Alexandra Haggard, head of product and investment services for Asia and Europe.
Ferris has been tasked to build and lead a team responsible for product development, governance and product management of Capital Group’s investment range for clients in the two continents. Her responsibilities will include overseeing new fund launches across equity, fixed income and multi-asset as the firm intends to expands it offering for investors.
“Capital Group has a focused range of services and we are committed to building our offering to meet the evolving needs and expectations of our clients, said Haggard, in a statement.
Ferris has 16 years of experience in asset management with a focus on the product function within Asian and European markets.
She joins from Morgan Stanley Investment Management where she was head of international product for four years. Her responsibilities included product strategy, the development, launch and maintenance of EMEA investment funds for retail and institutional clients, and the development of product governance policy. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Kat worked as a product manager at Robeco.
“I am looking forward to expanding the firm’s equity, fixed income and multi-asset strategies for both institutional and retail investors across Asia and Europe,” Ferris said in the statement
Californian-based Capital Group has AUM of $2.7trn, according to the firm.
