In Korea, Andrew Hwang joined the firm as a director of strategic solutions.
Hwang was poached from Janus Capital, where he was responsible for non-Japan Asia business development. Prior to that, he had also worked with BNY Mellon Asset Management for product development and strategy in the region.
In Taiwan, Berry Hsieh came over from Robeco to serve as director of strategic solutions. Hsieh previously worked with Robeco in Hong Kong and has also held senior roles at Capital Investment Trust and Citibank in Taiwan.
Both Hwang and Hsieh are based in Hong Kong.
“We recognise tremendous opportunity across Asia to help institutions and financial intermediaries design and offer investment solutions for a broad range of clients,” said Andrew Economos, senior vice president for strategic solutions in Asia.
In January, the firm expanded the sales and distribution team in Australia, Japan and Hong Kong.
The firm has outlined plans to offer global investment products for Asian investors in the second half of 2015. Other products include growth, multi-asset, outcome-oriented and fixed income offerings.
