BOS nabs two for Philippines team

Bank of Singapore lured over two senior Credit Suisse execs to expand its Philippines team.

Arthur Ooi, most recently a team head for the Philippines business of Credit Suisse Private Bank, joined BOS at the beginning of August as the managing director and team head.

Brandon Ho became an executive director and senior relationship manager in mid-July. He was the team lead for the emerging Asia investment consulting business at Credit Suisse.

Both are based in Singapore and report to Robin Heng, BOS global head of Indonesia and the Philippines.

Philippine wealth managment clients have increasing demands from private banks, Heng said in a statement.

“[F]rom ensuring liquidity in their private wealth portfolio, offering assistance in setting up trusts and family offices, customising solutions for wealth transfer, structuring financial solutions for business expansion, to having comprehensive understanding of tax regimes across geographies to help clients manage their property portfolios.”

BOS declined to comment further.

Last week, Lombard Odier began a strategic partnership with Manila-based Union Bank to offer investment solutions to onshore private clients in the Philippines.
