BNPP AM appoints head of stewardship for APAC

Ho joins BNP Paribas Asset Management from the Asia Investor Group on Climate Change.

BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has appointed Jane Karen Ho (pictured) as head of stewardship for Asia Pacific within its global sustainability centre, effective 3 October.

Based in Singapore, she reports to Michael Herskovich, BNPP AM’s global head of stewardship, and to Angelia Chin, BNPP AM’s chief executive officer for Singapore.

In her new role, Ho will oversee the firm’s stewardship activities in the region including researching key corporate governance issues and collaborating with policymakers on key issues related to sustainable finance.

Ho joins BNPP AM from the Asia Investor Group on Climate Change, where she was the director of investor practice. Before that, she was an equities portfolio manager at JPMorgan Asset Management for more than 10 years.

“We are very pleased to welcome Jane to BNP Paribas Asset Management as we continue to reinforce and extend the firm’s commitment to sustainable investing in Asia Pacific,” said Herskovich.

“Jane will be a hugely valuable addition to the global sustainability centre as we increase our engagement with issuers in the region. With Asia Pacific being a major contributor to climate change and biodiversity challenges, she will play a crucial role in leading the firm’s sustainability and stewardship work in this space.”
