Alexis Wu has joined BNP Paribas Wealth Management as market head, according to an internal memo seen by FSA.
Based in Hong Kong, Wu (pictured) will report directly to Lemuel Lee, head of wealth management, Hong Kong.
Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Wu was managing director and co-head of private wealth management at China Merchants Bank International (CMBI), where she oversaw the wealth management business and led teams across Asia, including China, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
Before that, she was executive director, wealth management Asia at Royal Bank of Canada, where she cultivated strong relationships with ultra-high-net-worth clients and major corporations in China.
Earlier in her career, Wu specialised in M&A advisory, government relations, and corporate strategy, building a strong network with Chinese government entities and leading corporations.
“China remains a core focus of our growth ambitions, and Alexis’ extensive experience working with Chinese clients at both corporate and individual levels will be instrumental in driving our progress,” said Lee.
“Her ability to cultivate meaningful client relationships, coupled with her deep understanding of Chinese regulations and the broader business landscape, will help further reinforce our position in the region.”
