Barings has partnered with Heng An Standard Life Asia (HASL Asia) to expand its suite of income investment options on the insurer’s investment-linked platform in Hong Kong.

HASL Asia will now offer the Barings Income Navigator fund and the Barings Global Investment Grade Credit fund on its platform, according to a statement from Barings.

The platform already features the Barings Senior Secured Bond fund and Barings Developed & Emerging Markets High Yield Bond fund aimed at income-seeking investors.

Harriet Zhang, chief investment officer of HASL Asia said: “As a wealth-centric insurer, we continually expand our investment choices under our investment-linked insurance platform to provide customers with innovative and diversified choices.”

“Our partnership with Barings in making the investment choice available is a testament to this commitment.”

US-headquartered Barings said it plans to continue seeking partnerships with a broad range of distributors.

Lydia Wu, head of distribution, Greater China & SEA at Barings said: “We are pleased to strengthen our collaboration with HASL Asia by introducing two new income-focused strategies to their platform.”

“The Barings Income Navigator fund and Barings Global Investment Grade Credit fund are designed to meet the needs of investors navigating today’s complex market landscape.”
