B2B fund distribution platform, Fund Channel, said that it is now providing order-routing, execution and safekeeping services that extend its core distribution and data offering to its client asset managers and fund distributors.

“Facilitating fund transaction and distribution altogether is part of Fund Channel’s vision to expand added-value services and be the reference marketplace across the distribution value chain,” said Pierre Domon, chief executive officer of Fund Channel, in a statement.

Luxembourg-based Fund Channel, which is fully-owned by Amundi, opened its Singapore branch in 2017 as a part of extending its operations to Asia and now has $386.4bn of assets under intermediation.

The platform initially provided services to help fund distribution, strengthen transparency and improve processes for asset managers and fund distributors.

These include regulatory monitoring, optimising revenues by assisting them in the calculation, monitoring and channelling commission payments for the distribution of funds.

The platform has also announced the appointment of Jean Vaz as head of the fund dealing team, which is based in Luxembourg.

Vaz joins the firm from private-equity service specialist, Gen II Fund Services and has 25 years of experience in the Luxembourg fund services industry.
