Vincent Mortier, Amundi
Vincent Mortier has been promoted to CIO of Amundi with immediate effect, succeeding Pascal Blanqué who has been appointed chairman of the newly created Amundi Institute, reports our sister publication, Expert Investor.
Mortier has been deputy CIO since 2015 and is described by the company as having been instrumental in anchoring ESG at the heart of the investment process across its different active investment platforms.
Matteo Germano will assume the deputy chief investment officer role, having served as global head of multi-asset at Amundi as well as CIO for Italy since 2017.
His responsibilities have been divided as follows:
- John O’Toole is named head of multi-asset investment solutions
- Francesco Sandrini has become head of multi-asset strategies
The Amundi Institute brings together the firm’s research, market strategy and asset allocation advisory activities under one roof.
Launched this week, it will also be responsible for conveying Amundi’s convictions and its investment and portfolio construction recommendations, thereby furthering its leadership in these areas.
