Amundi appoints country head for Japan

Katsumi Fujikawa joined the asset manager in 2021 having previously worked at BlackRock, UBS Securities and Barclays de Zoete Wedd.

Amundi has appointed Katsumi Fujikawa as country head of Japan.

Fujikawa joined Amundi in Japan in August 2021 as executive vice president and head of the retail business, where he oversees the distribution and marketing of retail funds for Amundi in Japan.

Prior to joining Amundi, he worked at BlackRock, where he was chief of staff to the country head and head of corporate strategy. He was also head of the institutional client business group in Japan and head of iShares in Japan during his stint there.

Prior to BlackRock he worked at UBS Securities in Japan, where he was head of the equity capital markets group. He started his career at Barclays de Zoete Wedd.
