Priyanka Kishore, founder and principal economist, Asia Decoded

Priyanka Kishore is the Founder and Principal Economist of the macroeconomic consultancy Asia Decoded. With two decades of experience across Asian markets, she advises policymakers, think tanks, corporates, and institutional investors on the region’s long-term economic trends, trade dynamics, climate impact and policy imperatives. A regular columnist for Nikkei Asia, Priyanka frequently appears on Bloomberg, CNBC, BBC, CNA, and other global media platforms. Previously, she was the Chief India and Southeast Asia Economist for Oxford Economics. Before that, she held senior economist and strategist roles in the banking sector, where she built her reputation as an expert on financial and economic trends in Asia.

Alan Siow, co-head of emerging markets corporate debt, Ninety One

Alan is Co-head of Emerging Markets Corporate Debt and Co-portfolio manager of the Emerging Markets Corporate Debt, Emerging Markets Investment Grade Corporate Debt and All China Bond strategies. Prior to joining the firm, Alan worked at BlueBay Asset Management where he was a portfolio manager specialising in Emerging Markets. From 2008 to 2011 Alan worked at Alchemy Special Situations as an executive responsible for European distressed debt and special situations investing. Prior to Alchemy, Alan was a vice president in fixed income at Citigroup Salomon Smith Barney. Alan started his career at Deloitte in Australia.

Gareth Nicholson, chief investment officer and head of managed investments, International Wealth Management, Nomura

Gareth Nicholson joined Nomura in July 2021 as Chief Investment Officer and Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management for International Wealth Management. He is based in Singapore.

Gareth works closely with Nomura’s Global Markets and Investment Banking businesses to expand the firm’s product offerings and spearhead a streamlined, solutions-driven coverage effort for high-net-worth clients, external asset managers and family offices. With a strong institutional investment background, he creates and manages DPM strategies for fixed income, equity and multi-asset portfolios, while providing risk management support.

JC Sambor, head of emerging markets debt, TT International

Jean-Charles “(JC)” Sambor is TT’s Head of Emerging Markets Debt. Before joining TT, JC worked at BNP Paribas Asset Management for almost eight years as Head of EM Fixed Income and was Lead Portfolio Manager of the EM Debt strategies. Prior to this, JC was CEO of IIF (Institute of International Finance) Asia Pacific Ltd and Regional Director. He also worked at TCW and a large hedge fund. JC started his career as an Emerging Markets economist with Société Générale. He is an alumnus of UCLA and received an MA in International Financial Economics from UPMF. JC is also an alumnus of École Normale Supérieure and received an MA in Philosophy from Sorbonne University.
