Fund Selector Asia is hosting our flagship Investment Forum in Bangkok, Thailand on Thursday, 12 September 2024. Fund managers from abrdn Investments, Janus Henderson Investors and Jupiter Asset Management will be joining us to showcase their investment strategies.

About the event

Date: Thursday, 12 September 2024
Time: 9:30am – 2:00pm
Venue: InterContinental Bangkok

In a world fraught with market volatility, geopolitical tension and macro uncertainty, Fund Selector Asia is delighted to bring expert speakers to the Thai wealth and asset management community – to shed light on opportunities to diversify and allocate for the future.

This is a wealth management market forecast to see significant growth in the coming years. AUM is projected to reach US$86bn by the end of 2024, dominated by financial advisory services.

Hosted in Bangkok on Thursday, 12th September, our second flagship FSA Investment Forum Thailand of 2024 will therefore explore a range of asset classes and strategies in both public and private markets. The goal is to help investors be agile and find resilient sources of return as they look to mitigate risks and preserve capital.

Key reasons to join the event include:

  • Timely presentations from leading global investment managers
  • Insights from our panel speakers on asset allocation and portfolio strategy
  • Engaging conversations with your peers
  • Opportunities to strengthen relationships with existing contacts and develop new ones

11:10amPresentation: Capturing fixed income opportunities when central banks ease
Generating robust income through short-duration corporate bonds can actually be a relevant and attractive strategy during most stages of the economic cycle. Right now, however, there is an even stronger case for increased allocations to short-duration bonds due to the significantly increased absolute level of yields, coupled with a flat yield curve. Against this backdrop, our SDEI strategy is well positioned to deliver a unique set of outcomes for investors.

– What will be the main drivers of allocation decisions over the next 6 to 12 months?

– How do alternatives and private assets contribute to the mix, and which opportunities and themes stand out at the moment?
– To what extent do Thai clients still want control of their investment decisions?
– How “active” does asset management now need to be?
