First Sentier Investors names new Singapore CEO

The asset manager has promoted two members to its leadership team in Singapore.

First Sentier Investors has promoted Christy Goh (pictured) to head of the intermediary business for Asia and CEO for Singapore, effective immediately, according to a statement from the company.

Based in Singapore, Goh will be leading the team in Asia covering both north and southeast Asia, the company said.

She joined the firm in 2006 and was most recently head of distribution for southeast Asia.

Goh will be reporting to the firm’s managing director and head of distribution of Asia Pacific, Lauren Prendiville, whose role was expanded last year to include leadership of the business in Australia alongside Asia.

Elsewhere, Marcus Ong has also been named head of institutional business for Asia. He joined First Sentier Investors as director of institutional business in 2022.

Prior to that, he held roles at Franklin Templeton and the Singapore Central Provident Fund Board.

Commenting on the appointments, Prendiville said “We are thrilled to entrust Christy Goh and Marcus Ong with their expanded roles.”

“With their proven track records and expertise in developing intermediary and institutional business respectively, we are confident they will spearhead the further growth and expansion of First Sentier Investors in Asia.”
