Bank of Singapore hires ex-Citi Private Banker in family office push

Lynn Ong has joined a newly created team in Bank of Singapore’s financial intermediaries, family office and wealth advisory unit.

Bank of Singapore has appointed Lynn Ong (pictured) to its newly formed team within the financial intermediaries, family office and wealth advisory business unit, the bank said in a statement.

She will be focused on engaging clients with family office advisory needs and developing the bank’s strategic initiatives for single family offices.

The bank said it has seen “significant growth” in its single family office segment and aims to expand its product offerings to “meet increasing client demand” for advice and solutions, including family governance and philanthropy.

Ong joins from Citi Private Bank, where she advised global ultra-high net worth families on family office and philanthropy planning and structuring across Singapore and Hong Kong.

Prior to Citi, she was the China market head at the Singapore Economic Development Board advising investors looking at establishing businesses and family offices in the city-state.

Prior to that, she worked at LGT Capital Partners and the Hong Kong Jockey Club working on private market transactions.
