Wellington Management has announced the registration of four fund offerings in Hong Kong.

The four funds are the Wellington Next Generation Education fund, the Wellington Next Generation Global Equity fund, the Wellington Sustainable Outcomes fund and the Wellington US Brand Power fund.

The Wellington Next Generation Education fund is managed by Simon Henry and mainly invests in companies geared towards the provision of education and vocational training services.

Meanwhile, the Wellington Next Generation Global Equity fund, which is managed by Daire Dunne and Simon Henry, mainly invests in companies that are best positioned to benefit from structural changes and sustainable economic development.

The Wellington Sustainable Outcomes fund is managed by Tara Stilwell and has an ESG tilt being an article 9 fund.

Finally, the Wellington US Brand Power fund, which is managed by Doug McLane, takes the view that the strength of a company’s brand is the main driver of long-term value and seeks to invest in companies with strong brands.

“The expansion of our fund range reflects our commitment to the mass affluent and wealth segments, which is of strategic importance for the firm,” said Samuel Hui, Wellington’s managing director for Asia Pacific in the global wealth management group.

“The investment funds enable clients to capitalise on potentially high growth areas that we believe are typically overlooked by traditional indices: the democratisation of education; companies that may benefit from sustainable economic development; companies that drive measurable change resulting in positive social and environmental outcomes; and high-quality US companies with strong brands.”

Last month, Wellington announced that it had registered three investment funds in Singapore: the Wellington Asia Credit Income fund, the Wellington Asia Quality Income fund and the Wellington Global Equity Income fund.
