Baillie Gifford brings tokenised fixed income fund to Singapore
The Baillie Gifford Enhanced Yield fund is a short-duration bond strategy in tokenised form.
Elke Schoeppl-Jost will succeed Vanessa Wang as head of Asia Pacific, who is retiring.

Elke Schoeppl-Jost will succeed Vanessa Wang as regional head, Asia Pacific, effective 1 January 2027, in addition to her current role as regional investment head, Asia Pacific.
Schoeppl-Jost (pictured) has more than 25 years of asset management experience. She will lead DWS’s Asia Pacific franchise and will continue to be based in Hong Kong, according to a statement by the German asset manager.
She joined DWS in 2014 as head of active portfolio management, AsiaPacific, where she led the firm’s active equity, fixed income and multi-asset investment teams across the region.
As regional investment head, Asia Pacific, Schoeppl-Jost is responsible for the day-to-day management of DWS’s investment platforming Asia Pacific and for driving investment ideas from the region across the firm’s global investment platform.
Effective1January2027, she will assume responsibility for the overall leadership of DWS’s Asia Pacific franchise as regional head, Asia Pacific.
Prior to joining DWS, Schoeppl-Jost was chief investment officer at BEA Union Investment in Hong Kong. Before relocating to Asia in 2008, she was a senior portfolio manager at Union Investment in Frankfurt.
She began her investment career at Volksbank Investments in Vienna, Austria, as a portfolio manager for Asian equities.
The Vontobel Fund – Emerging Markets Debt Core fund is managed by Wouter Van Overfelt and Dario Scheurer.
Saira Malik will be chief investment officer, reporting to Nuveen CEO William Huffman.
Amin Obeidi joins from Quintet Private Bank.
