Sun Life unveils private wealth integrated platform

The platform is intended to help wealthy clients across global centres.

Sun Life yesterday announced the launch of Sun Life Private Wealth, an integrated platform supporting high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families and advisers.

“The launch of Sun Life Private Wealth marks the evolution of our HNW business, bringing together decades of expertise into one integrated platform. As wealth becomes more global and family needs more complex, clients and advisers need a trusted partner that can support them across the wealth life cycle,” said Sujoy Ghosh, CEO, Sun Life Private Wealth.

Private wealth continues to grow across global markets, with Asia Pacific playing an increasingly important role. Global HNW Individual wealth rose 8.7% to $98.3trn in 2025, with Asia Pacific recording the highest regional growth at 10.5%, according to the Capgemini World Wealth Report 2026. BCG’ Global Wealth Report 2026 found that cross border wealth also rose 8.4% globally in 2025 to $15.7trn.

However, Sun Life’s 2025 legacy planning research found that 67% of HNW respondents in Singapore and 44% of HNW respondents in Hong Kong are concerned their wealth may not be preserved beyond their children’s generation.

The research also found that 89% of respondents in Singapore and 91% in Hong Kong have either previously sought professional advice for legacy planning or would like to do so in future.

Ghosh added: “Over the past 18 months, we have brought our capabilities closer together through a single intake and underwriting platform, harmonised processes and forms, and round-the-clock support. The result is a more connected global business that delivers a more seamless experience for distribution partners and their clients, with the complexity of navigating markets resting with us, not them.”
