DBS expands partnership with Avaloq
DBS and Avaloq expand their partnership to develop wealth management technology and adviser capabilities in Asia.
Francesca Chan joins from UBS.

HSBC Private Bank has appointed Francesca Chan as regional head of family and philanthropy advisory, Asia Pacific, effective 29 September 2026. Based in Hong Kong, she will report to Ann Ling, regional head of wealth planning and advisory, Asia Pacific.
In this role, Chan (pictured) will lead teams of family advisory and philanthropy advisory specialists across the Asia Pacific region. She will be responsible for deepening client relationships and driving business growth through bespoke advisory solutions, guiding ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients across multi-generational succession, family office setup, family governance establishment and strategic philanthropy. Her appointment will further strengthen HSBC’s commitment to delivering multidisciplinary, client-centric solutions to UHNW individuals and families in the region, according to a statement by the bank.
Chan has nearly two decades of private wealth management experience. Most recently, she was executive director and senior family adviser at UBS, where she advised Asia’s leading UHNW families on intergenerational legacy planning and long-term stewardship, encompassing family office establishment, residency planning, and the design and implementation of governance frameworks, while also shaping family strategy, philanthropic vision and next-generation development.
Prior to UBS, Chan held roles at Deloitte Private, Noah Global Family Office and BNP Paribas. She began her career as an Investment Advisor with HSBC Securities in Canada.
Ling commented: “Francesca brings deep expertise in advising Asia’s most complex multi-generational families, strengthening our ability to deliver holistic solutions across succession, governance, family office set-up and strategic philanthropy. Working closely with HSBC Trustee, one of the largest bank-owned trustees in Asia with an 80-year heritage serving some of the region’s leading families for three or more generations, we continue to help clients navigate moments that matter with confidence, today and for generations to come.”
The asset manager will return to its heritage name later this year in November.
It marks the largest closed-ended commingled private equity fund raised by the asset manager.
