Value Partners launches Printed Circuit Board ETF in Hong Kong

The launch comes two weeks after launching an optical communication ETF.

Value Partners Group is listing another AI-themed active exchange-traded-fund (ETF) on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (SEHK).

The Value Partners Printed Circuit Board Active ETF invests in companies across the printed circuit board (PCB) supply chain, most of which remains concentrated in Asia.

The launch announcement comes two weeks after Value Partners launched a similar AI-themed ETF focused on the optical communications sector.

The firm said this launch marks the world’s first actively managed exchange-traded fund dedicated to the printed circuit board ecosystem.

Guo Xiaolin, senior fund manager, equities at Value Partners, said: “The remarkable computing power of AI chips would not be possible without the support of PCBs.”

“As AI servers continue to evolve, PCB manufacturing is becoming increasingly complex, creating higher barriers to entry and meaningful growth opportunities for companies with advanced production capabilities and strong supply chain positioning”

“Through active management, we can identify companies with genuine technological leadership and high-end manufacturing expertise, with the goal of capturing potential returns for investors from this wave of AI hardware upgrades.”

The ETF will trade in Hong Kong dollars on October 23rd, with an ongoing charges figure of 1.5%, of which 0.99% is a management fee.
