Nomura Islamic AM appoints new CEO

Mohammad Hasif bin Ahmad Murad is based in Malaysia.

Nomura Islamic Asset Management Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary company of Nomura Asset Management, today appointed Mohammad Hasif bin Ahmad Murad as chief executive officer at Nomura Islamic Asset Management.

Hasif has over 15 years of investment management experience and was most recently head of global sukuk and emerging market fixed income at BNP Paribas Asset Management in Kuala Lumpur, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Previously, he was an investment manager and credit analyst at Aberdeen, and he began his career as a tax consultant at KPMG Malaysia.

“I am honoured to take on this new role and excited to lead the next chapter of our growth. As we move forward, we remain committed to advancing Islamic investment solutions guided by the principles of Shariah, delivering sustainable value for our investors, and contributing positively to the communities we serve,” he said.
