BlackRock partners with HSBC to launch retirement funds

The multi-asset wealth navigator funds range offers three distinct risk profiles for Hong Kong investors.

BlackRock has launched the BlackRock Wealth Navigator funds to address the diverse retirement needs of Hong Kong retail investors. These global multi-asset portfolios are exclusively available to HSBC clients in Hong Kong for six months, according to a statement by the asset manager.

The BlackRock Wealth Navigator funds comprise a range of retirement-oriented strategies: the BlackRock Wealth Navigator Growth fund, the BlackRock Wealth Navigator Growth & Income fund, and the BlackRock Wealth Navigator Income fund.

Each of them is built around a distinct risk profile, providing flexibility to adapt to the evolving balance between current income needs and capital growth across every stage of retirement planning.

The growth fund is targeted at individuals in their early careers prioritising wealth accumulation and long-term compounding potential. For those preparing for or approaching retirement, the growth & income fund emphasises capital appreciation as well as income. Retirees seeking consistent income streams will find the income fund aligned with their distribution-phase needs.

The funds are managed by BlackRock multi-asset income investment portfolio managers Justin Christofel and Alex Shingler

“In an era marked by inflation and market volatility, personalised retirement planning has never been more essential,” said Christofel.

“Confidence in retirement starts with access to globally diversified portfolios—designed to balance capital growth, income, and risk. The funds combine active and passive strategies across equities, fixed income, and alternatives…to help investors meet their specific investment goals.”
