Eastspring names head of ETF markets

Former JPMAM Asia ETFs head Sean Cunningham is hired for a newly created role at Eastpring Investments.

Eastspring Investment, Asia-headquartered asset management business of Prudential
plc, today announced the appointment of Sean Cunningham as head of
capital markets, effective 11 August 2026. Based in Singapore, Cunningham will
report to Ioannis Kampouris, head of quantitative strategies.

In this newly created role, Cunningham (pictured) will lead the development of Eastspring’s ETF capital markets function, helping to establish the market infrastructure, market maker relationships and operational capabilities required to help build a scalable and competitive ETF business.

Cunningham has over two decades of investment and capital markets experience, with
expertise across ETFs, trading, market structure and product development.

Most recently, he was head of ETFs for Asia at J.P. Morgan Asset Management in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for growing the firm’s ETF business across the region.
He has also held senior leadership roles at BlackRock iShares and Schroders Investment Management.
