Pictet appoints Asia wealth management CEO

Aerni is due to relocate from Zurich to take up the reins as Asia wealth management CEO.

Pictet has appointed Victor Aerni as CEO of its wealth management business in Asia, effective 1 July 2023.

He is a replacement for Tee Fong Seng, who will remain on the board of directors of Bank Pictet & Cie (Asia), the Pictet Group’s Singaporean banking entity, as vice chairman, reporting to Francois Pictet, managing partner of the Pictet Group and chairman of the board.

Aerni is currently serving as head of Pictet’s wealth management business in German speaking Switzerland, a position he has held since April 2009. Prior to joining the bank he was with Boston Consulting Group for 16 years.

A 30-year banking veteran with stints at Credit Suisse and UBS, Tee has led Pictet’s Asia wealth management business since 2019.

Meanwhile, Pictet has also appointed Evelyn Yeo, who currently serves as head of Asia investments, as deputy CEO of the bank’s Singaporean banking entity. Her appointment is effective 1 January and she will continue in her current position as well.

Yeo has over 20 years industry experience and previously worked at Julius Baer and UBS.
