JPM AM joins Lu International HK app

In total, there are 34 funds for sale on the platform, including 25 HK dollar-denominated funds and nine US dollar-denominated funds.

Lu International in Hong Kong, a subsidiary of China retail fintech firm Lufax Holding, has added four JP Morgan Asset Management mutual funds to its platform, according to a statement from the fintech firm.

The four products include three Hong Kong dollar-denominated funds and one US dollar-denominated fund.

These are the JPM US Technology Fund, the JPM Total Emerging Markets Income Fund, the JPMorgan Funds Income Fund and the JPMorgan Funds Emerging Markets Investment Grade Bond, according to the statement.

The Lu HK app shows that these four products are already available on the platform.

“JP Morgan has substantial experience in providing professional and diversified financial services. I believe this cooperation will bring a new batch of high-quality products to our platform, which can meet our users’ diverse investment needs,” Cai Hua, CEO of Lu Hong Kong said in the statement.

“In the future, both parties will further explore possibilities for cooperation,” he added.

The move comes after the platform included the first batch of US dollar-denominated funds last month. Launched in August, the app previously only offered Hong Kong dollar-denominated products.

In total, there are 34 funds for sale on the platform, including 25 HK dollar-denominated funds and nine US dollar-denominated funds.

The firm has been active in expanding its services outside of China. In Thailand, Lu International announced a partnership with Kasikornbank in August to launch an online wealth management platform in the country, which was just rolled out last month.

Its first overseas arm was set up in Singapore in 2017, which launched the Lu Global online platform in the Lion City the year after.
