Since September 2015, Cohn has been a member of the group executive board of BSI and head of UHNWI development.

In his new role, he will be managing the business in Singapore during the bank’s integration with EFG International.

Cohn will replace Raj Sriram, the current interim CEO of BSI Singapore, who has decided to leave the bank to spend more time with his family.

“We are very pleased that [Cohn] will take on the responsibility to drive the business in Singapore in view of the integration with EFG International,” Stefano Coduri, Group CEO of BSI said in the statement.

Cohn has 20 years of experience in banking, the bank said. Before joining BSI, he was co-head of BTG Pactual Wealth Management from 2009 to 2015.

Prior to that, he worked at BTG Pactual as head of product and services and head of sales management at UBS Pactual. He joined BTG Pactual and became a partner in 2004.

Previously, he worked at Banco Matrix as a head of the fixed income trading desk.

In February, EFG International agreed with BTG Pactual to buy BSI for about CHF1.33bn ($1.34bn) in cash and stock. The deal is expected to make EFG one of the largest private banks in Switzerland with around CHF170bn in assets under management as at 31 December 2015.
