AllianzGI hires CIO for Asia fixed income

Jenny Zeng joins from AllianceBernstein, where she has been for the past nine years.
A new way of greeting to avoid the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Two people (a man and a woman) bump elbows instead of hug or handshake.

Allianz Global Investors has hired Jenny Zeng as its new CIO for Asia fixed income.

Zeng will join the company in the New Year, succeeding David Tan, who is taking a break from the asset management industry after 10 years at AllianzGI.

Zeng joins from AllianceBernstein, where she has been for the past nine years, most recently as co-head of Asian fixed income and responsible officer for Hong Kong. She has a background in credit research, dating back 16 years.

“We are grateful to David for his dedication, sustained investment focus and collegiality during his time with AllianzGI and we wish him well in his future endeavours,” said Franck Dixmier, global CIO for fixed income.

“We are excited to welcome Jenny to AllianzGI, where we believe that she can thrive, working with the team to bring new insights and generate performance for our global client-base.”
